Our Story

Hi, I’m Bianca, the founder of Splashy Tots and mum to two little beach boys - Rocky and Zeke.

The beach has always been my happy place and when I became a parent for the first time, I was excited to share that love with my little one. When I couldn’t find a swimsuit that featured Rocky’s favourite obsession at the time - frogs - I decided to create one myself!

Along with all the standard swimsuit staples (UPF50+ UV rating, long sleeves for extra sun protection, quick drying and stretchy fabric for comfort etc.) his special swimsuit needed to feature a cute and memorable frog character print for him to love - and boy, did he love it! He quickly associated the print and knew exactly when it was time for “Rocky swimming?” or “go beach?” as he would say.

I also wanted his swimsuit to stand out on our busy Australian beaches, making it easier for us to spot him as he played “Rocky digging” by the shoreline. So I chose a bold green colour to help keep him safe, and to pair with the cute frog.

When he started wearing his new bright and colourful swimsuit (the first ever ‘Frankie the Frog’) at swimming class and at the beach, he started getting compliments from other families and fellow beach-lovers that passed by.

And so, Splashy Tots was born!

Growing up in Melbourne, I was always captivated by the colourful beach boxes lining the coast, and that spirit of fun and vibrancy inspired me to create colourful swimsuits that stand out and bring joy. Whether it’s a frog, a mermaid, or a starfish, our designs are all about creating bold, larger-than-life characters that your little ones will love and recognise in an instant.
